Job summary

SIMPLi is seeking a Director of Finance to lead financial strategy and scale our finance organization as we grow across foodservice and retail. You will partner with the CEO and executive leadership to guide capital planning, acquisitions, and long-term value creation.

You will close the books, improve working capital, and build controls while shaping fundraising strategies, investor relations, and financial systems. This role thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership in a high-growth CPG, food, or beverage brand.
• Proven experience building and scaling a finance function in a startup or founder-led environment.
• Track record supporting fundraising, capital raises, or lender relationships, including investor-ready modeling and diligence.
• Strong background in CPG accounting, with an understanding of margins, inventory flows, channel economics, and costing across retail, DTC, and foodservice.

Responsibilities

• Own the company's financial strategy, long-range planning, and 3-statement modeling to support growth, fundraising, and channel expansion.
• Lead monthly close, GAAP compliance, and internal controls, while building scalable processes.
• Develop capital allocation strategies that maximize long-term shareholder value.
• Build and lead a scalable Finance and Accounting organization.
• Partner with CEO and executive team on fundraising, acquisitions, and financing initiatives.
• Provide cross-functional financial analysis to drive pricing, promotions, customer profitability, and channel strategy.
• Develop financial dashboards and KPIs and present recommendations to the Board and lenders.
