Job summary

Third Wave Business Systems, a portfolio company of Pine, seeks a strategic VP of Finance to lead finance and accounting, own consolidation for multiple entities, and turn numbers into insight for leadership. You will manage two Accounting Managers and collaborate with Pine's finance team, bringing strong FP&A and equity-backed experience.

You will drive budgeting, forecasting, analytics, and reporting, building scalable processes and dashboards in Acumatica to support growth and investor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with people leadership.
• Strong accounting foundation (audit, controllership; CPA preferred).
• Hands-on FP&A or full P&L visibility in an operating business.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation and month-end close oversight.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; ability to build structure.
• Clear communicator with leadership teams and investors.
• Comfort translating big-company rigor to small-business realities.
• Experience with private equity-backed or holding company environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a finance and accounting team, including two Accounting Managers.
• Own consolidation and below-the-line accounting for a multi-entity PE-backed business.
• Review each business unit's close for accuracy and clarity.
• Lead FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for strategic decisions.
• Build dashboards and reporting for GM-level P&L owners across units.
• Architect reporting structures in Acumatica with internal team.
• Present monthly results to Third Wave leadership and Pine with commentary.
• Partner with Pine finance on KPIs, reporting and analysis.
• Shape the future state of the finance organization as the business grows.
