Job summary

Convene Hospitality Group in New York City seeks an AV Technology Manager to lead seamless delivery of world-class events at our Brookfield Place location. You will oversee AV services, coordinating with sales and production teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences and high-quality technical execution.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive AV knowledge, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and vendor relationships while upholding Convene’s standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in managing IT and AV equipment.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of AV gear including analog/digital mixers, wireless mics, projectors/display tech.
• Understanding of Crestron control and hardware endpoints.
• Basic networking knowledge for Macs/PCs/servers.
• Ability to lead and manage team members.
• Familiarity with CRM applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide ad-hoc troubleshooting and assistance to customers of all technology competency levels.
• Manage AV equipment including audio, video, lighting, networking systems; support in-house and client systems.
• Preprogram and coordinate with clients for their technological requirements.
• Provide consultative support to technology sales for client programs.
• Ensure adherence to booking guidelines and optimize space usage and revenue.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and collaborate with sales/production teams.
• Oversee AV Specialists and direct day-to-day floor operations.
• Develop weekly site execution schedules and coordinate with other locations.
