Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical and/or environmental consulting with leadership and PM experience.
• 3+ years of team leadership or management experience in a consulting or corporate environment.
• Professional registration (PE, PG, CHMM, or similar) strongly preferred.
• Advanced understanding of federal and state environmental regulations (CERCLA, RCRA, CWA, CAA, EPCRA).
• Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience with large portfolio due diligence for real estate, investment, or corporate clients.
• Familiarity with ASTM and AAI standards, vapor encroachment screening, PFAS regs.
• Experience managing relationships with legal counsel, financial institutions, regulators.
• Working knowledge of EHS management systems or digital compliance platforms.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Strong business development and client relationship management capabilities.
• Experience with contract negotiation, MSA management, and policy implementation.
• Proficiency in project management software and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Environmental Services Department focusing on due diligence and compliance service lines.
• Supervise and mentor a team of environmental professionals across projects.
• Oversee workload allocation, training, performance reviews, and hiring.
• Promote technical excellence, collaboration, and professional development.
• Ensure timely delivery of Phase I ESAs, Phase II investigations when needed, and transactional due diligence.
• Provide expert reviews and client-facing interpretations of findings and risks.
• Lead environmental compliance audits across facilities and oversee permits and reports.
