Job summary

Cart.com is seeking a Director of Safety & Security to lead enterprise-wide EHS, physical security, and risk management across fulfillment centers, offices, and new ventures. You’ll shape governance, implement scalable safety systems, and embed proactive risk management into operations.

You will partner with Legal, HR, Quality, Operations, Facilities, and executives to drive incident reduction, regulatory excellence, and a culture of proactive safety ownership across a fast-growing network.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive leadership in EHS, operational safety, security, or enterprise risk.
• Led safety programs across multi-site logistics, fulfillment, manufacturing, or 3PL networks.
• Built or transformed enterprise-level safety functions for scalable growth.
• Reduced incident rates and shrink across distributed operations.
• Managed OSHA compliance programs and regulatory audits at scale.
• Experience with hazardous materials governance and regulated operations.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Cart.com’s multi-year enterprise safety and security roadmap.
• Establish governance across EHS, security, loss prevention, and hazmat.
• Align safety strategy with growth, site launches, and client verticals.
• Serve as executive advisor on operational risk and regulatory exposure.
• Report risk posture and performance to executive leadership.
• Lead enterprise Safety & Security functions and scale organizational structure.
• Oversee external partners for compliance, audits, and security.
• Standardize safety frameworks across fulfillment sites and regulatory domains.
• Drive incident reduction programs and reliable risk controls.
• Develop training that scales across distributed teams and cultures.
