Job summary

New York University (NYU) IT seeks a Director of Enterprise Information Governance & Management (EIGM) to lead NYU's EIM program, establishing governance framework, policies, and operating models across the data lifecycle.

The role directs data stewardship, metadata management, and data quality initiatives, partnering with stakeholders to drive strategic roadmaps and enterprise standards, while advancing data literacy and governance training across campuses.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, MBA, Systems Management, Public Policy).
• 7+ years of experience in data management, BI, data warehousing, or data governance in large environments.
• 10+ years preferred with data management activities supporting complex processes and distributed stakeholders.
• 7+ years with Collibra data governance software; 5+ years with enterprise reporting (Tableau, OBIEE) or 3+ years with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for NYU's Enterprise Information Management (EIM) program and governance framework.
• Lead governance, metadata management, stewardship, and lifecycle management across institutional data.
• Develop roadmaps and partner with stakeholders to optimize resources and deliver high-quality services.
• Advance Data Literacy and training programs to enable enterprise data governance adoption.
