Job summary

WRITER is seeking a Director of Solutions Architecture in San Francisco, hybrid role, reporting to the VP of Solutions Architecture. Lead a team of top-tier architects, drive adoption of WRITER's enterprise AI platform, and partner with sales to shape strategic accounts.

You will guide pre-sales engagements, oversee PoC projects, and craft compelling technical value propositions while aligning roadmaps with customer needs and security standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a customer-facing technical role with 4+ years in management leading a pre-sales or solutions-architecture team focused on enterprise software, cloud, or AI solutions.
• Experience scaling a solutions-architecture or sales-engineering organization in a high-growth tech company.
• Deep proficiency in generative AI, LLMs, ML, and cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) with hands-on Python or scripting.
• Experience managing complex AI/ML deployments, data pipelines, security, and compliance in large enterprises.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills, translating technical concepts into business value for executives and technical audiences.
• Strategic mindset with a bias for process improvement and measurable impact across engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of solutions architects across complex enterprise AI engagements.
• Oversee pre-sales technical engagements, including use-case discovery, PoC execution, and value realization.
• Partner with sales to define strategic account plans and accelerate pipeline growth.
• Act as executive sponsor for strategic accounts and advise CIO/CTO on AI strategy.
• Influence product roadmap with market insights and customer feedback.
• Architect scalable, secure AI solutions integrating clients’ data and existing stacks.
• Improve PoC processes to demonstrate ROI and accelerate time-to-value.
