Job summary

Good co India is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to shape and drive the company’s technology strategy. You will mentor managers and engineers, own delivery quality, and set standards across large-scale systems.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, Security, DevOps, and business teams to optimize architecture, risk management, and measurable KPIs. A strong background in cloud-native practices and DevOps is essential.

Qualifications

• 8 to 13 years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in engineering leadership/management roles preferred.
• Strong background in software architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience managing multiple engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, security, scalability, and observability.
• Excellent stakeholder and communication skills.
• Experience hiring and developing senior technical talent.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with company objectives.
• Lead and mentor engineering managers, technical leads, and senior engineers.
• Own engineering delivery, quality, scalability, reliability, and technical excellence.
• Establish engineering standards, development methodologies, and best practices.
• Drive architecture and technology decisions for large-scale systems.
• Partner with Product, Design, Security, DevOps, and Business teams.
• Establish KPIs for engineering productivity, quality, availability, and delivery.
• Manage technical debt and modernization initiatives.
• Build high-performing engineering teams through hiring, mentoring, and career development.
• Conduct architecture and technical design reviews.
• Manage engineering budgets, resources, priorities, and capacity planning.
• Identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks.
• Promote automation, CI/CD, DevOps, observability, and cloud-native practices.
