Job summary

Bloomberg Industry Group is seeking an experienced software engineering leader to mentor teams, shape architecture, and deliver scalable services across multiple domains. You will influence best practices, drive DevSecOps, and partner with product teams to estimate effort and optimize outcomes.

The role demands extensive SDLC experience, strong JavaScript/Node.js/Java/Python skills, and cloud-native capabilities (AWS, serverless, microservices). A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software development and delivering commercial applications.
• Proven team leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Track record influencing full SDLC in distributed delivery teams using Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Provide management, coaching and mentorship to the team.
• Deliver solutions for large initiatives across verticals.
• Design, develop scalable, high-availability products with strong front-end and back-end understanding.
• Shape architecture and deliver major infrastructure components.
• Architect and deliver high-quality code with observability, stability and security.
• Lead best practices across teams and guide technical direction.
• Collaborate with product team to estimate effort and tradeoffs.
• Manage projects and collaborate with partners to deliver value.
• Foster an inclusive culture and drive results for customers and business.
• Lead special projects as assigned.
