Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead and grow the engineering organization. This hybrid role requires strategic technical leadership, people management, and close partnership with executives to shape long-term technical direction.

You will build high-performing teams, drive execution, and ensure scalable, reliable, and secure software products while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, Ops, and Leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Proven ability to build and scale engineering organizations in fast-paced settings.
• Strong grasp of software development methods, system architecture, cloud tech, and modern practices.
• Experience managing roadmaps, timelines, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven recruiting, coaching, and retaining top engineering talent.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with goals and product vision.
• Lead, mentor, and develop managers and teams while fostering strong culture.
• Drive execution across initiatives, delivering projects on time with quality.
• Partner with Product, Design, Ops, and Leadership to prioritize work and impact.
• Oversee architecture, scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
• Establish best practices, processes, and operational standards.
• Build and scale teams through hiring, coaching, and career growth.
• Manage resources, capacity, budgets, and organizational growth.
• Promote continuous improvement via metrics, feedback, and optimization.
• Ensure high standards for system reliability, security, and operations.
• Communicate priorities, progress, risks, and outcomes to executives.
• Support cross-functional planning and alignment across teams.
