Job summary

Verustruct is hiring a Head of Engineering in Torrance, CA to lead the engineering team across mechanical, electrical, robotics, software, materials, structural, and manufacturing disciplines. You will translate company priorities into an integrated development program and guide systems from prototypes to repeatable field deployment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering leadership and hands-on contribution.
• Experience delivering complex robotic systems from development through deployment.
• Strong systems-engineering judgment and risk handling.

Responsibilities

• Own the integrated engineering roadmap, milestones, and execution plan for the robotic platform.
• Lead architecture and trade studies across disciplines, balancing performance, reliability, safety, manufacturability, cost and speed.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage engineers and technical leads; set clear expectations and high technical standards.
• Develop standards for design reviews, configuration control, documentation, release readiness, and engineering changes.
• Partner with manufacturing, suppliers, and field teams to scale prototypes into repeatable equipment.
