AngelList is hiring a Head of Engineering, Foundations to lead a critical team that owns the core infrastructure for a high-stakes fintech platform. You will directly report to the CEO and shape the platform used by millions, guiding architectural decisions and developer experience across the org.

The role emphasizes hands-on delivery, team growth, and building with Kubernetes, AWS, and infrastructure-as-code tooling.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in engineering.
• 5+ years leading teams.
• Experience with Kubernetes & AWS.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience (Pulumi/cdk8s/ArgoCD).
• Developing infrastructure as a product for internal customers.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and grow a small team of engineers and develop staff and principal engineers.
• Build the platform the engineering org runs on: developer platforms, deployment pipelines, observability, tooling.
• Automate infrastructure as code on Kubernetes and AWS using Pulumi, cdk8s, ArgoCD.
• Build the harnesses agents execute inside, including sandboxing, audit trails and rollback for live-money systems.
• Set engineering standards for reliability, operability, and architecture and sequence quality work for fast shipping.
