Job summary

Criterion Executive Search is seeking an Employee Benefits Operations Leader to help build and strengthen the operational structure of its West Coast practice. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on workflows, processes, service standards and team structure.

You will partner with leadership to improve efficiency, accountability and client service, oversee multiple teams, mentor talent and help drive growth and profitability across California offices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Employee Benefits experience in an insurance agency environment.
• Strong background in Operations and/or Account Management.
• Experience building or improving EB processes and organizational structure.
• Proven leadership and team-development experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Comfortable working strategically while also being highly hands-on.
• Bachelor's degree preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve EB workflows, processes and operating procedures.
• Help create the structure, accountability and service model for the practice.
• Identify operational gaps and implement practical solutions.
• Oversee workflow, capacity and performance across multiple teams.
• Develop and mentor employees and future team leaders.
• Work with leadership on growth, profitability and operational goals.
• Establish consistent processes and best practices across offices.
• Be willing to roll up your sleeves and do the work while the organization builds out its leadership structure.
