We are seeking a highly organized, relationship-driven, and service-oriented Employee Benefits Client Manager to join a growing and collaborative insurance advisory team. In this role, you will partner closely with Risk Advisors to manage a dedicated portfolio of employee benefits clients, oversee renewals and new business implementations, and provide ongoing consultative support to employers. You will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless client experience while contributing to the long-term success and retention of the firm’s employee benefits practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for a dedicated book of employee benefits clients
- Partner with Risk Advisors to develop and execute strategic marketing plans for both new and renewal business opportunities
- Manage the complete renewal and new business lifecycle, including:
- Negotiating coverage terms and pricing
- Evaluating benefit options
- Delivering polished client proposals and presentations
- Coordinate all aspects of client onboarding, implementation, and ongoing account servicing
- Maintain accurate policy and client data within EPIC and related systems
- Administer employee benefits processes including enrollments, terminations, COBRA coordination, and BOR documentation
- Lead and support open enrollment meetings to ensure successful plan implementation and employee engagement
- Provide proactive account management through regular client touchpoints and responsive service
- Resolve claims issues, billing discrepancies, eligibility concerns, and day-to-day service requests efficiently and professionally
- Escalate complex client matters appropriately while maintaining ownership of the overall client experience
- Build long-term trusted relationships by delivering strategic guidance and exceptional client support
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of Employee Benefits experience within an insurance brokerage, consulting firm, or related environment
- Strong knowledge of group health, dental, vision, life, disability, and ancillary employee benefits products
- Experience managing renewals, carrier negotiations, implementations, and ongoing client servicing independently
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Experience working within EPIC or similar agency management systems preferred
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive and client-focused approach
