Roosevelt Institute in New York, NY is seeking a Managing Director of Development to lead the major individual giving program and oversee institutional fundraising. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, you will personally cultivate major donors and guide the development team to execute Roosevelt's strategic plan.

You will build a robust donor portfolio, expand mid- and major-giving, and collaborate with program staff to align fundraising with organizational goals.

Formación

• 8–10 years of fundraising experience in nonprofit organizations.
• Experience building or growing an individual giving program.
• Experience managing staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Understanding of philanthropic and political fundraising environments, with familiarity in the progressive policy ecosystem.

Responsabilidades

• Shape the strategic design of expanding Roosevelt’s major individual giving program and build infrastructure.
• Manage fundraising pipeline for Roosevelt Institute and Roosevelt Forward; advise on strategy and progress toward goals.
• Develop donor engagement strategies including communications, events, and briefings.
• Cultivate and manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects.
• Lead and mentor the development team to achieve fundraising goals and a strong culture.
