Job summary

Thread is seeking a Director of Development to own fundraising strategy across individual giving, foundations, corporations, and government funding. You will report to the EVP of Involvement and drive annual and multi-year plans with the CEO and senior leaders.

You’ll manage a diverse donor portfolio, coach a development team, and partner with the Board and volunteers to expand fundraising capacity. Data and compelling community stories will showcase impact to inspire investment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively responsible fundraising leadership, with a record of closing major gifts, foundation grants, and corporate partnerships.
• Experience designing comprehensive strategies that produce measurable growth.
• A leader who coaches people well and builds systems that last.
• Comfort with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and turning data into action.

Responsibilities

• Build and carry out annual and multi-year fundraising strategies alongside the CEO and senior leadership.
• Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, from cultivation and solicitation through stewardship.
• Lead and coach a development team covering grants, prospect research, proposals, and donor communications.
• Partner with our Board and volunteers to grow our fundraising capacity.
• Use data and real stories from our community to show impact and inspire investment.
