Job summary
Thread, founded in Baltimore, seeks a Director of Development to lead our fundraising strategy and grow philanthropic resources. Reporting to the EVP of Involvement, you will own Thread's development system end to end, partnering with the CEO, Board, volunteers, and staff to build durable donor relationships that support our mission.
You will manage a personal donor portfolio, lead meetings and site visits, and use outcomes data to tell Thread's impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible fundraising leadership.
- Proven success securing major gifts and foundation grants.
- Experience managing donor portfolios and cultivation.
- Experience with fundraising databases; Salesforce preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual and multi-year fundraising plans.
- Diversify revenue across individuals, foundations, corporations, government.
- Lead donor meetings, site visits, and presentations.
- Oversee grants, proposals, donor communications, and operations.
- Coach and grow a high-performing fundraising team.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and Board.
