Job summary

Bridging For Tomorrow seeks a Director of Development to grow the donor community through individual relationships, corporate partnerships, special events, marketing, and all fundraising campaigns, reporting to the CEO.

Lead major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and the annual fund; build donor trust, diversify revenue, manage donor records, and collaborate with staff, volunteers, and the board to meet fundraising goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Marketing.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant nonprofit experience considered.
• 3–5+ years of proven success in fundraising and donor development, including securing major gifts and corporate sponsorships.
• Event planning and coordination highly desired.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication, public speaking and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the CEO in formulating growth plans and identifying resources and relationships to execute them.
• Partner with officers and the board on donor cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising opportunities.
• Perform market research to identify new revenue streams.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan with fundraising goals and measurable outcomes.
• Grow revenue through major gifts, corporate partnerships, grants, sponsorships, campaigns and events.
• Plan annual donor events and coordinate with committees to promote BFT.
• Source and write grant proposals with required documentation and evaluation.
• Collaborate with Communications to produce Annual Report and donor collateral.
• Represent BFT at local events to share community impact.
• Track expenditures and review budget performance monthly.
