Job summary

The Zeiterion seeks a Director of Development to lead the organization’s fundraising program, translating priorities into plans that drive contributed revenue and donor engagement. You will manage staff, operations, individual and institutional giving, stewardship, campaigns, and prospect management to sustain momentum.

This role balances operational leadership with donor-facing activity and portfolio management, partnering with the VP/CEO to advance high-value donor relationships and long-term

Qualifications

• 7-12 years of relevant fundraising experience.
• Donor pipeline development, major gift cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Donor engagement and annual giving.
• Institutional fundraising and grants management.
• Development operations and CRM management.
• Data analysis and performance reporting.
• Project management and prioritization; team leadership.
• Commitment to inclusion, equity, and values-based fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual fundraising plans aligned with revenue goals.
• Establish objectives, performance measures, and benchmarks across giving programs.
• Monitor revenue performance and adjust strategies as needed.
• Manage calendars, campaigns, and stewardship initiatives.
• Identify growth opportunities across gift programs and donor segments.
• Prepare regular fundraising forecasts and revenue reports.
• Plan donor readiness with the VP/CEO for leadership gifts.
• Build and manage a donor pipeline and major gift portfolio.
• Coordinate donor meetings, solicitations, and stewardship activities.
• Provide guidance on donor strategies and cross-functional collaboration.
