Landis Communities in Lititz, PA is seeking a full-time, salaried leader to develop and oversee the Dementia-Friendly Center of Excellence. The role ensures alignment with our mission and memory care philosophy across programs and living options.

The position emphasizes education, environment, programming, technology and research, enabling residents and families to engage meaningfully and reach their highest potential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a human services field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• 3–5 years of memory care or elder care experience preferred.
• Experience in public speaking, leading and teaching groups required.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Continues skill development starting with Positive Approach to Care (PAC).
• Develops a team of PAC coaches, consultants and mentors.
• Offers educational opportunities to caregivers and families; develops orientation/support for family members.
• Develops a community resource center offering seminars for caregivers.
• Defines dementia-friendly environmental priorities (lighting, sound, biophilic design).
• Secures Dementia-Friendly Provider status with Dementia-Friendly America.
• Advocates for dementia-friendly programming meeting individual resident needs.
• Assists social work and life enrichment staff with dementia-friendly delivery of service.
• Researches new technologies to support a dementia-friendly environment and autonomy.
• Collaborates with clinical teams and IT for continuous improvement.
• Collaborates with Pastoral Services to provide dementia-friendly support groups and music.
