Job summary

Cetera Financial Group in Dallas, TX, seeks a Director of Data Trust to establish and operate an enterprise governance framework that ensures trusted, secure data across the organization. You will own data policy, privacy, security, metadata, and stewardship programs.

You will partner with Data Architecture, Data Quality, MDM, BI & Analytics, Risk, and Compliance to drive adoption, governance change, and business value from data while meeting regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven leadership in enterprise data governance, security, privacy, risk management, or related fields.
• Experience with data stewardship models (Business Data Owners/Stewards) and governance change management.
• Strong understanding of financial services regulations and industry frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the enterprise Data Trust capability, including governance, metadata management, data lineage, stewardship, and policy management.
• Define and operate Governance Operating Model with clear roles, decision rights, and escalation paths.
• Partner with Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Legal, and Compliance to operationalize data protection and regulatory requirements.
• Drive adoption of data governance and stewardship practices across business units and governance forums.
• Lead governance change management, stakeholder engagement, and communications to improve participation and business value.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline

Master’s degree preferred
