Job summary

Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc. seeks a Data Governance Lead in Dallas to design and implement a trusted data framework. You will ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility, partnering with product, marketing, and operations to enable responsible decisions.

You will drive enterprise data standards, metadata management, and data quality tooling, lead governance councils, and oversee regulatory compliance including GDPR/CCPA where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data governance or data management.
• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with governance and catalog tools.
• Familiarity with data privacy laws and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate governance principles into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and rollout of enterprise-wide data governance strategy.
• Define and maintain data standards, taxonomies, and metadata management.
• Partner with engineering to implement data quality monitoring tools.
• Establish data ownership and stewardship models across departments.
• Drive compliance with data privacy regulations and internal security policies.
• Foster data literacy through governance councils and working groups.
• Monitor and report on data governance KPIs.
