Job summary

Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc. seeks a Data Governance Lead to design and implement the data trust framework across product, marketing, and operations.

You will ensure data is accurate, secure, and accessible to the right people at the right time, enabling smarter, more ethical decision-making. You’ll partner with engineering and analytics teams to define standards, ownership, and metadata, while advancing regulatory compliance (GDPR/CCPA) and data literacy across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in data governance or related roles.
• Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with governance and catalog tools.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws and compliance.
• Excellent communication to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset translating governance into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide data governance strategy rollout.
• Define data standards, taxonomies, and metadata management.
• Partner with engineering to implement data quality monitoring.
• Establish data ownership and stewardship models.
• Drive GDPR/CCPA compliance and security policies.
• Facilitate data governance councils and promote data literacy.
• Monitor and report data governance KPIs.
