Job summary
The Hartford seeks an AVP Data Platform Engineering to define, build, and operate enterprise-grade data platforms and AI-enabled analytics across HIG. You will lead teams responsible for Snowflake, BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, and Informatica IDMC, delivering self-service analytics and trusted data products.
This role drives platform modernization, developer productivity, and secure, scalable data solutions with strong governance and enterprise impact.
Qualifications
- Leads enterprise data platform modernization and analytics enablement.
- Inspires high-performing engineering teams and promotes best practices.
- Partners with stakeholders to define roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Define multi-year strategy for enterprise data platforms and BI enablement.
- Lead teams managing Snowflake, Spark, BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, IDMC.
- Improve developer productivity and platform reliability.
- Collaborate with architecture, AI, cybersecurity, and governance teams.
- Advise senior leadership on data platform modernization and third-party data strategy.
- Oversee data ingestion capabilities and vendor data relationships.
