Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Senior Staff Data Engineer to empower Employee Benefits Sales data ingestion, transformation and delivery across the organization. You will own end-to-end ELT pipelines, work with Snowflake, AWS and modern data platforms, and collaborate with Underwriting, Product and Enterprise Data teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data engineering experience in distributed systems and data warehousing.
• Hands-on Snowflake, Oracle, Informatica Cloud/PowerCenter and GitHub.
• Strong Python/Spark, ETL, and cloud (AWS/Azure) expertise.
• Familiar with data mesh, data lake design, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with AWS services like EMR, S3, Lambda is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end data pipelines and data products for Employee Benefits Sales.
• Influence solution architecture and implement CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Mentor teams and drive data engineering best practices across projects.
• Architect and optimize cloud/hybrid data platforms and governance.
