BMO Financial Group is seeking a Director of Data Foundations, Automation & Information Infrastructure to lead a data-empowered Commercial Banking data ecosystem in the U.S. and Canada. You will own data strategy, architecture, pipelines, and governance while driving modernization and AI-enabled capabilities.

This role requires deep data management expertise, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering scalable data platforms that enable trusted reporting and strategic decision-making.

Qualifikationen

• 9+ years of experience in data management, data engineering or a related field.
• Deep expertise in ETL and data pipeline development, data modeling and data quality management.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and modern data programming languages such as Python.
• Experience with cloud and modern data platforms.
• Knowledge of master data, metadata, semantic layer and data governance practices.
• Experience in a highly regulated environment; Commercial Banking or financial services experience is an asset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Aufgaben

• Lead the Data Foundation team responsible for curated, trusted data powering reporting and analytics.
• Oversee end-to-end data lifecycle including requirements, modeling, ETL, and production-grade data delivery.
• Partner with analytics, AI, technology and governance teams to ensure data quality and usability.
• Build and mentor a high-performing data organization aligned to risk and regulatory standards.
