Job summary

Relation Insurance Inc. in the United States seeks a Director of Data Engineering and Analytics to own the data platform end-to-end, drive AI-enabled data solutions, and partner with executives to translate priorities into a practical data roadmap.

You will lead data engineering and analytics teams, set standards for governance and security, and deliver executive dashboards and self-service reports across core domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years hands-on data engineering, analytics, or data architecture experience.
• Owns data platform end-to-end and delivers measurable outcomes.
• Leadership experience directing technical teams and projects.
• Writes production SQL, Python, and PySpark regularly.
• Deep experience with data modeling, MDM concepts, and ETL/ELT.
• Extensive use of AI tools in engineering lifecycle with governance.
• Able to communicate data trade-offs to non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Translate business priorities into data roadmap and drive execution.
• Lead design and implementation of production data pipelines.
• Define data quality, governance, security, and access controls.
• Develop AI-driven data workflows and validate outputs.
• Build executive dashboards and self-service reporting.
• Coach and develop data engineering professionals and teams.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, Finance, and Stakeholders.
• Establish CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and documentation standards.
