Job summary

Order.co is hiring a Principal Applied AI Architect to define the target-state data and intelligence architecture aligned with business priorities, turning proprietary procurement data into durable competitive advantage. This is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Data.

You will own company-wide data and AI architecture, establish standards, and ensure security, reliability, and compliance as you drive production-grade systems from strategy to deployment.

Qualifications

• 14+ years in applied data science, machine learning, data architecture, or production AI systems.
• Technical partner to product/strategy leaders grounding roadmaps in system capabilities.
• Deep knowledge of production systems and the business they serve.
• Ownership of target-state architecture across data and applied AI.
• Experience mentoring senior contributors and aligning executives with technical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state architecture for data estate and applied AI.
• Set standards for source-of-truth models, naming, lineage, and integration.
• Ensure security, privacy, and compliance across all layers of the stack.
• Deliver production systems with observability, resilience, and governance.
