Job summary

Order.co is hiring a Staff Applied AI Scientist to own the AI system inside our product, from architecture to production behavior. This senior IC role combines AI/ML architecture ownership with hands-on applied science, including model serving, prompts, retrieval, and guardrails.

You will work with product and engineering squads, report to the data team head, and align technical bets with business outcomes and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in applied data science, ML, or applied AI with production impact.
• Ownership of AI and machine learning system architecture including serving, retrieval, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Experience with ML operations: versioning, CI/CD for models/prompts, monitoring, drift detection, rollback.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI/ML architecture end-to-end, including hosting, prompting, versioning, retrieval, and evaluation.
• Drive production delivery, governance, and incident readiness for AI systems.
• Define data requirements and collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to ensure governed infrastructure.
