S&P Dow Jones Indices in New York, NY, is seeking a Senior Engineering Leader to direct a large data engineering and platform team, driving architecture and governance across enterprise data assets. You will oversee AI-driven solutions with strong data governance and multi-cloud integration.

The role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional partnership with Product and Security, and a focus on transforming the data platform to enable business growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years directly managing and scaling large engineering teams at Director or Head level.
• Deep technical expertise in data platform architecture including Delta Lake and Apache Iceberg.
• Experience leading enterprise data management initiatives at petabyte scale across distributed platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services, Databricks, and enterprise-scale data infrastructure.
• Proven track record integrating data catalogs with enterprise metadata platforms and managing data security.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with cross-functional partnership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a large, multi-disciplinary engineering organization of 50+ data engineers and platform developers.
• Drive strategic architecture and implementation of enterprise data management and governance.
• Oversee autonomous AI systems development using Databricks Mosaic AI with governed data and semantic modeling.
• Guide zero-copy, multi-platform lakehouse architecture across AWS services and analytics tools.
• Translate business and compliance requirements into actionable engineering roadmaps with executives.
• Champion transformation initiatives positioning the company at the forefront of enterprise AI and data platforms.
