Job summary

MetLife is seeking a Senior Vice President of Enterprise Data Engineering to define and execute a strategic vision for data platforms and architecture on a global scale. You will lead modern, secure data capabilities, enabling analytics, AI, and digital transformation across the enterprise.

You will manage a high‑performing team, collaborate with business and technology leaders, and drive data governance and customer value while delivering scalable data solutions in a hybrid operating model.

Qualifications

• Over 20 years of experience in data engineering with 10+ years in senior leadership roles.
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholders and influence organizational direction.
• Strong knowledge of database management, data architecture, and modern cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise data engineering strategy using Cloud and AI.
• Oversee enterprise-wide data platforms, tooling, and data integration pipelines.
• Lead a global data program to modernize legacy systems with scalable, secure data capabilities.
• Collaborate with security teams on privacy, encryption, and access control.
• Incorporate AI/ML solutions to enhance data democratization and modernization.
• Lead a high-performing data team and foster innovation.
