Job summary

Dematic is seeking an experienced Controls Engineering Manager to lead a team of project execution engineers within our Lifecycle Solutions and Services Project Engineering group in the United States. The role focuses on day-to-day project execution, growing team capabilities, cross‑disciplinary coordination, and driving continuous improvement across programs.

The position requires 5+ years of management experience in controls engineering, familiarity with material handling or logistics

Qualifications

• Lead projects and mentor engineers
• Strong communication and collaboration
• Ability to solve complex problems and drive improvements
• Experience with CAD software like AutoCAD or CET Designer

Responsibilities

• Own project performance and outcomes of the engineering team
• Provide coaching and guidance to ensure project success
• Ensure quality, on-time delivery and cost targets
• Regularly report project performance to management
• Manage budgets and forecast across projects
• Recruit, onboard and integrate new hires into the team
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives
