Job summary

Dematic Corp seeks a Controls Engineering Manager to lead a team of project execution engineers within the Project Engineering Organization. The candidate will have 5+ years of experience guiding engineers on diverse, complex material handling and logistics automation projects.

The role involves managing day-to-day project execution, expanding team capabilities, and driving strategic initiatives and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of engineering management or people leadership.
• 8+ years in material handling/logistics automation preferred.
• Ability to lead across remote, office, and customer sites.
• Knowledge of CAD software including AutoCAD is a plus.
• Knowledge of PLCs including Allen-Bradley/Rockwell is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own project performance and outcomes of direct engineering team.
• Provide coaching to ensure team and project success.
• Ensure targets for quality, on-time delivery, and cost; anticipate issues.
• Provide regular reporting of project status to management.
• Maintain monthly forecasting across projects and budgets.
• Lead staffing decisions based on skills and priorities.
• Coordinate across cross-office locations and departments for alignment.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives within the group.
