Job summary

Progyny is seeking a Senior Director of Contracting to lead and scale our contracting function across client, provider, channel partner, and vendor agreements. You will establish operational excellence, drive quality in execution, and serve as the central point of accountability for contracting operations.

You will oversee a team of contracting professionals, govern the contract lifecycle, and partner with Legal, Sales, and Finance to align strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of contracting, legal operations, or related function within healthcare.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience.
• Deep experience managing multiple contract types within healthcare (client/customer, vendor, partner).
• Strong understanding of contract structures, negotiation strategies, and risk management.
• Experience with contract lifecycle management systems (e.g., Ironclad).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end contracting across client, provider, vendor, and partner.
• Design, implement, and improve scalable contracting processes, governance, and service models.
• Establish SLAs, prioritization frameworks, and performance metrics for contracting activities.
• Drive operational excellence across the full contract lifecycle from intake through execution.
• Lead, mentor, and scale a team of contracting professionals.
• Review, structure, and negotiate complex/high-impact agreements across all contract types.
• Partner with Legal, Sales, Business Development, Finance, and Operations.
