Bunnell-Lammons Engineering in the Charlotte, North Carolina area seeks a Department Manager to lead BLE’s Construction Materials Testing Services. The role oversees field and laboratory operations, staff development, project delivery, budgets, and client relationships, partnering with the Branch Manager and the business development team to grow the practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; advanced education or training in construction materials testing a plus.
• PE license required.
• Typically 8+ years of progressive experience in construction materials testing, special inspections, or related engineering consulting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field and laboratory operations for Construction Materials Testing and special inspections.
• Lead staffing, budgeting, forecasting, and project scheduling; manage client communication and risk.
• Provide technical guidance, QA/QC oversight, and final review of technical deliverables.
