Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) is seeking a senior Department Manager to lead BLE's Construction Materials Testing Services in the Charlotte metro area. You will oversee field and laboratory operations, staff development, project delivery, and client service while partnering with the Charlotte Branch Manager and business development team to grow the CMT practice.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; advanced education or specialized training in construction materials testing and inspection preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Typically 8+ years in construction materials testing, special inspections, or related engineering consulting with project management and leadership responsibilities.
• Experience managing field-testing and laboratory programs, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, ICC, and DOT standards; lab accreditations and certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee construction materials testing and special-inspection projects from scoping to delivery, with staffing, schedule, and budget oversight.
• Lead QA/QC, review testing results and reports, and provide technical guidance on complex challenges.
• Manage staffing, training, and professional development; ensure a safe, compliant work environment.
• Oversee department budgets, forecasts, utilization, and profitability; manage contracts and billing.
• Develop trusted client relationships and contribute to proposals, interviews, and pursuits.
• Grow BLE's Charlotte CMT practice in collaboration with leadership and business development.
