Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) seeks a senior leader to build and lead the Construction Materials Testing Services Department in the Charlotte metro area. You will oversee field and lab operations, staff development, and project delivery while partnering with the Charlotte Branch Manager to grow the practice.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and a PE license, with 8+ years in construction materials testing or inspections, strong leadership, and client-relations skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering required; advanced training in construction materials testing preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Typically 8+ years of progressive experience in construction materials testing and inspections.
• Experience managing field-testing programs, labs, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong working knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, ICC, and DOT standards and certifications.

Responsabilités

• Lead BLE’s Construction Materials Testing Services Department in Charlotte.
• Oversee field and laboratory operations, staff development, and project delivery.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager and business development to grow the practice.
• Manage budgets, schedules, staffing, profitability, and client service quality.
• Ensure QA/QC, proposals, testing results, and reports meet standards.
• Build trusted client relationships and contribute to proposals and pursuits.
