Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a Head of Compensation to design, govern, and execute global compensation programs. You will lead short- and long-term incentive planning, annual cycles, market research, analytics, and day-to-day operations while developing a high-performing team of compensation consultants.

You will partner with HRBPs, Legal, and Finance to ensure compliance with pay equity and transparency requirements, and champion AI-driven improvements across workflows and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Analytics, Finance or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive compensation experience designing and administering incentive plans.
• 3+ years of people management leading compensation teams.
• Experience leading annual compensation cycles at scale.
• Strong knowledge of job architecture, market pricing, and salary structure management.
• Experience partnering with senior HR and business leaders as a strategic advisor.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS/compensation platforms and advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with pay equity and pay transparency regulations; interest in AI adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, governance, and execution of compensation programs including merit, promotion, and long-term incentives.
• Manage executive compensation, offers to Senior Directors and above, and retention agreements.
• Oversee annual budgeting, plan governance, and executive reviews; ensure effective communications.
• Drive market research, benchmarking, and job architecture maintenance.
• Champion AI-enabled tools across compensation modeling, analytics, pricing, and reporting.
• Develop and coach a high-performing compensation team; build depth and succession.
