Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is seeking a Head of Compensation to lead the design, governance, and execution of the company’s compensation programs.

This senior role reports to the Head of Total Rewards and drives merit, bonus, long‑term incentives, and executive compensation with a focus on AI-enabled analytics. As a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders, you will oversee compensation operations, market research, budgeting, and system governance while developing a high‑performing team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Analytics, Finance, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive compensation experience designing and administering incentive plans.
• 3+ years of people management experience leading compensation teams.
• Experience leading annual merit, bonus, and promotion cycles at scale.
• Strong knowledge of job architecture, market pricing, and salary structure management.
• Experience partnering with senior HR and business leaders as a strategic advisor; AI familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, governance, and execution of the company’s compensation programs.
• Own short-term and long-term incentive planning and annual compensation cycle.
• Oversee executive compensation, including offers and retention agreements.
• Champion AI adoption across compensation workflows and analytics.
• Manage a high-performing team and ensure compliance with pay equity and transparency laws.
