Job summary

AAA Mountain West Group in Walnut Creek, CA seeks a Director, Commercial Sales for Smart Business Security to build and scale a high-margin, recurring revenue division across nine states. This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite weekly at our Walnut Creek office and reports to the VP of Commercial Sales.

You will lead a cross-functional team of AEs, SEs, Sales Ops, and PMs, owning the revenue cycle and delivering ROI-focused proposals to enterprise buyers while driving growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership within electronic security, access control, video surveillance, or integrated building systems.
• 5+ years managing commercial sales teams, technical sales engineers, sales operations, or commercial project management within an enterprise integrator or regional security provider.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end revenue cycle from signed contract to project handoff and revenue realization.
• Establish and enforce cross-functional SLAs across the deal lifecycle, from prospecting to final revenue.
• Expand high-margin recurring service revenue via preventative service and maintenance agreements.
• Lead the Commercial Organization: recruit, structure, and directly lead AEs, SEs, Sales Ops, and PMs.
• Communicate effectively with executive leadership and provide data-backed forecasts.
• Coach AEs and SEs to present ROI-driven proposals to directors and owners.
• Drive revenue growth across intrusions, cloud video, access control, smart building automation, and elevator integration.
