Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking a Director of Commercial Learning & Development to lead strategy, governance, and scalable capability-building across the Commercial organization. You will partner with Sales, HR, Marketing and Talent leaders to design, implement, and optimize onboarding, leadership development, and sales enablement initiatives.

You will guide a team, manage budgets, and drive measurable business impact using analytics and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Learning & Development, Marketing, Communications, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Sales Enablement, Talent Development, Commercial Excellence, Organizational Development, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams, strategic initiatives, budgets, and organizational development programs.
• Experience developing and implementing commercial learning strategies, onboarding programs, sales capability initiatives, leadership development programs, and structured learning pathways.
• Strong understanding of commercial organizations, sales processes, customer engagement strategies, sales effectiveness, and capability development practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Commercial Learning & Development function with strategy, governance, priorities, and capability roadmap.
• Develop scalable learning solutions across the teammate lifecycle: onboarding, sales effectiveness, product knowledge, leadership.
• Assess capabilities and partner with leaders to identify gaps and implement solutions driving results.
• Lead and coach the L&D team while contributing to initiatives, programs and design efforts in a build-and-scale environment.
• Oversee design, delivery, and improvement of learning programs, onboarding experiences, certification frameworks, and leadership initiatives.
• Establish governance, standards, metrics, and practices for consistent, scalable learning impact.
