Newman Group Search in the Phoenix metro area seeks a President to lead its commercial lines practice with full accountability for growth, profitability, and market reputation across P&C, group benefits, retirement plans, M&A, and private client services.

The role requires setting vision with the CEO, steering a portfolio of middle-market and large corporate accounts, and guiding sophisticated placements such as D&O, EPLI, cyber, captives, and alternative risk structures.

Qualifications

• Set vision, revenue goals, and P&L for the commercial lines practice with the CEO
• Lead middle-market and larger corporate accounts across P&C, group benefits, and retirement plans
• Guide clients through sophisticated placements (D&O, EPLI, cyber, captives, risk structures)
• Drive new business with PE-backed and acquisition-active companies
• Direct carrier marketing and negotiations for favorable terms
• Hire, coach, and hold accountable producers and account executives
• Collaborate with benefits, M&A, and private client teams on deals

Responsibilities

• Set the vision, revenue goals, and P&L direction for the commercial lines practice in partnership with the CEO
• Personally lead a portfolio of middle-market and larger corporate accounts across property, casualty, and liability programs
• Guide clients through sophisticated placements, including D&O, EPLI, cyber, captives, and alternative risk structures
• Drive new business with a focus on PE-backed and acquisition-active companies
• Direct carrier marketing and negotiations to deliver strong terms and pricing for clients
• Hire, coach, and hold accountable a team of producers and account executives
• Collaborate with benefits, retirement, M&A, and private client colleagues on shared relationships, including deal diligence and post-close integration
• Help shape firmwide direction as part of the senior leadership group
