Job summary

H. T. PROF Group is seeking a Director of Coastal Engineering and Waterfronts to lead its waterfronts practice. This executive role defines the long-term vision, expands markets, and guides multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative coastal solutions.

The role combines strategic leadership with technical authority, overseeing budgeting, project delivery, and client development across regional markets. A PE license and a proven leadership track are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Coastal, Civil, Structural, or Marine Engineering.
• 15+ years in waterfront/coastal/marine engineering with leadership responsibilities.
• PE license required; additional credentials (e.g., D.PE, PMP, CFM) desired.
• Proven success leading practice groups, business units, or major market sectors.
• Strong portfolio of waterfront, marina, coastal infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to win work, build client relationships, and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the strategic plan for the Waterfronts Practice, aligning with firmwide goals.
• Identify market trends in coastal resilience, waterfront redevelopment, port/marina planning, and marine infrastructure.
• Lead budgeting, staffing, revenue forecasting, and financial performance oversight.
• Establish quality standards, procedures, and workflows for the practice.
• Provide senior technical oversight for waterfront, marina, and coastal projects.
• Build strategic client relationships and lead business development initiatives.
