RBC is seeking a Director of CM Controls for Operations in Jersey City to oversee the US Operations Risk & Controls Governance function within Capital Markets. You will manage a team and drive alignment of processes, controls, and reporting with enterprise policies across the US region.

The role requires deep experience in risk governance, control frameworks, and regulatory requirements, with a focus on standardization and automation.

• Proven experience leading risk and controls or operational risk governance in a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of operational risks and CM products/business processes.
• Experience driving standardization, process improvement, and automation across distributed teams.
• Excellent leadership and people management with ability to develop talent and drive performance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across geographies.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee control framework governance across US regions, including risks, controls, issues, metrics, and reporting.
• Support root cause analysis of audit findings and risk events with mitigation recommendations.
• Coordinate with central CM teams on risk events and remediation efforts.
• Maintain control inventories and conduct standardized reviews of key risk areas.
• Lead control assurance programs and ensure timely remediation per ICMP requirements.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and RC&G leads to coordinate initiatives and provide SME guidance.
• Develop robust lineage and heatmapping across policies, processes, risks, controls, and issues.
• Produce governance forums and reporting for regional risk bodies and regulators.
• Support standardization and automation opportunities using AI insights.
• Foster a culture of integrity and conduct, escalate issues affecting customers and compliance.
• Coordinate regulatory, compliance, and audit requests as needed.
