Job summary

Hawthorn River, a CSI company, is hiring a Project Manager II to lead the end-to-end delivery of our loan origination software. You will coordinate with internal teams, customers, and senior leadership to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and customer satisfaction.

You will manage multiple cross-functional projects, drive risk management, and mentor other project managers while enabling continuous improvement in PM processes and tools. Travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing multiple, complex projects.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for this position.
• PMP or CAPM certification required or in progress.
• Experience with loan origination processes and lending workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of projects from initiation through closure.
• Drive kickoffs, plan development, and milestone reviews with customers.
• Establish and manage project setup and cross-functional team communication.
• Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies; manage mitigations.
• Mentor other PMs and contribute to PM processes and tools.

Hawthorn River, a Computer Services Inc. (CSI) company, is looking for an experienced and customer-focused Project Manager II to help financial institutions successfully adopt and launch Hawthorn River’s loan origination software. The Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of projects. This role ensures projects are delivered successfully—from initiation through closure - while managing timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations. This individual will manage multiple, complex, cross-functional projects and work closely with internal teams, customers, and senior leadership to drive results.

Project Initiation

• Drive effective hand over from project sponsors
• Lead and facilitate project kickoff meetings

Project Planning

• Develop and refine project plans based on scope, complexity, and impact
• Review project plans and key milestones with customers

Project Execution

• Establish and manage overall project setup
• Maintain regular communication with project teams to ensure progress
• Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies

Monitoring & Controlling

• Track project progress against plan, scope, and timeline
• Escalate risks and issues that may impact project success

Project Close

• Lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned
• Collect customer feedback and measure satisfaction
• Contribute to improving project management processes, tools, and methodologies
• Mentor and support other Project Managers as needed
• Serve as a backup to department leadership when required

Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years of experience managing multiple, complex projects
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and stakeholders
• Ability to manage competing priorities and drive projects to completion
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Must be able to travel up to 20% for this position.

Required Skills and Experience

• PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM certification
• Familiarity with project management tools and Agile methodologies
• Experience with loan origination processes, lending workflows, or financial institution operations, including familiarity with the loan lifecycle from application through closing and funding.
• Experience implementing SaaS, banking technology, lending platforms, core-adjacent systems, or other customer-facing financial software solutions.
