Dimensions is seeking a senior leader to join the Leadership Team as Head of Business Development, shaping and delivering growth across the organisation. You will lead a team, partner with commissioners and stakeholders, and ensure growth remains aligned to our values and the outcomes for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

You will travel across multiple locations, with a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required.

As a member of the Dimensions Leadership Team, you will lead business development activity across the organisation, championing innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. Working closely with operational, housing, finance, communications and executive colleagues, you will identify, develop and secure opportunities that support sustainable growth, organisational resilience and high-quality, person-centred support.

Due to the frequent travel required between multiple locations, including sites that are not consistently accessible by public transport, applicants must be able to meet the travel requirements of the role. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required. We will consider reasonable adjustments for disabled applicants in line with the Equality Act 2010.

About the Role

As Head of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the Dimensions Group strategy, ensuring that growth opportunities are commercially sound, operationally deliverable and aligned to our values. You will lead a talented team and work across the organisation to maximise opportunities, strengthen partnerships and enhance our position as a provider of choice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Group's business development function, driving a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Support the Commercial Director in developing and delivering strategic growth plans that align with Dimensions' vision, mission and long-term ambitions.
• Provide strategic business partnering and commercial insight to regional operational teams, supporting growth, contract retention and service development.
• Oversee tendering, proposal development and business case activity, ensuring submissions are high quality, commercially robust and aligned to organisational priorities.
• Ensure the voices, aspirations and outcomes of people we support remain at the heart of growth and service development activities.

About You

We're looking for an accomplished leader who combines strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen and a deep commitment to social care.

You’ll bring:

• Significant experience of business development, growth planning and strategic leadership within social care or a related sector.
• A strong track record of building and maintaining productive partnerships with commissioners, stakeholders and strategic partners.
• Experience of leading and developing high-performing teams, including remote and geographically dispersed colleagues.
• The ability to identify opportunities, solve complex problems and turn ideas into practical outcomes.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

Knowledge of the learning disability sector and wider social care landscape.
