Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Master’s/Ph.D. in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of related experience in a veterinary toxicology or analytical chemistry laboratory preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of the discipline with strong managerial and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations, including budget, test development, quality assurance, safety, and staff well-being.
• Ensure scientific accuracy and timely generation of lab results; provide guidance to staff and assist with complex cases.
• Mentor staff, develop SOPs, and coordinate with other sections and TVMDL leadership.
• Lead and supervise staff, monitor workload, and ensure compliance with QA/QC and safety programs.
