Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a Sr. Director, Infrastructure Solutions Engineering – Americas to lead and execute the regional engineering strategy for the Americas.

This role oversees post-sales engineering delivery, balancing customer commitments, margins, capacity, and talent development within a global governance framework. The position interacts with Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Global Engineering partners, while driving safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering is required; Masters preferred.
• 15+ years of engineering experience with 5+ years leading managers or leaders of leaders.
• Proven ownership of regional organizations with financial and operational accountability.
• Strong executive communication and influence skills.
• Experience operating within a matrixed, global organization.

Responsibilities

• Translate global engineering strategy into an Americas-specific execution model aligned with Vertiv governance and cadence.
• Establish and enforce regional engineering standards, design authority, and review processes.
• Act as senior engineering authority for the Americas on complex, high-risk, or strategically significant programs.
• Lead regional engineering cost structure, productivity targets, margin performance, and capacity planning.
• Partner with Sales on deal qualification, technical risk assessment, and major pursuits.
• Support forecasting, annual operating plans, and long-range resource planning.
• Drive continuous improvement focused on scalability, cycle time reduction, and cost leverage.
• Provide executive oversight for complex, multi-site programs across the Americas.
• Ensure compliance with regional codes (NEC, IBC, NFPA, ASHRAE) and local AHJs.
