Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking an AI Transformation and Enablement Director within Development Global Clinical Operations. You will define strategy and multi-year roadmaps, secure investments, and drive how agentic AI changes work across Development Operations.

You will partner with R&D and enterprise teams, shaping operating models and processes to realize measurable clinical outcomes. The role reports to the Head of Asset Acceleration and AI and requires senior leadership, strategic planning, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Life Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
Experience in pharma strategy, applied AI, or transformation in top-tier contexts.
Deep understanding of pharmaceutical clinical development; regulated environment experience.
Experience building business cases for enterprise-scale capability and measurable outcomes.
Exceptional written and verbal communication for senior, non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Define AI transformation strategy, multi-year roadmap, and investment case for Development Operations.
Shape how agentic AI changes how work is done, including operating model and roles.
Oversee adoption, governance, and deployment of agentic tooling across Development Operations.
Lead a team delivering the Development Operations AI portfolio and ensure value attribution.
