Intuit's AI Solutions & Transformation team builds the engineering backbone to turn commercial strategy into production AI systems. As Principal, you own the engineering organization: you lead the broader product development team, accountability for technical direction, delivery quality, and growth of engineers.

This role partners with the AI Solutions PM to translate priorities into a technical roadmap, balancing build-vs-pivot decisions with business and brand goals in a fast-changing AI

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with leadership roles.
• Hands-on technical depth in modern AI and agentic systems (LLMs, RAG, agents).
• A track record of shipping production AI systems under real delivery pressure.
• Comfort with fast, repeated iteration and pivots without losing momentum.
• Experience translating business goals into technical execution for brand/marketing.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive-level partnership.
• Experience scaling a technical practice: hiring, leveling, standards.

Responsabilités

• Lead the engineering organization and grow a team of contractors and FTEs.
• Set technical direction and engineering quality across the AI Solutions portfolio.
• Make build-pivot-kill calls and re-architect as models, tools, and priorities shift.
• Build the org's structure and capacity to run multiple AI initiatives.
• Deliver reliable, high-quality AI systems into production for the business.
• Turn changing product priorities into a staffed, sequenced build plan.
• Establish cadence for planning, prioritization, and review.
• Escalate and unblock technical, delivery, or resourcing issues.
• Partner with AI Solutions PM to translate priorities into a technical roadmap.
• Represent engineering to brand and cross-functional partners.
• Build trust with non-technical stakeholders through clear communication.
• Establish engineering practices for rapid AI iteration and scalable infra.
• Set hiring bar and run interviews for growth periods, including Ashton and Jaga.
• Coach managers and leads and own performance and career growth.
